Scene 1
Setting: Inside the spacecraft, deep in space, with Earth fading away as the Milky Way stretches ahead of them.

Captain Lewis (narrating in a log):
“We’ve left the edges of our solar system. Only vast, uncharted stars ahead. Just us... and the silence.”

Static crackles. Lewis glances at the other crew members: Dr. Elena Ramirez, the head scientist, and Jack Porter, the engineer.

Captain Lewis:
“Alright, team. We’ve got another 24 hours until the final outer-edge probe. Everyone, stay sharp.”

Jack (grinning):
“No need to worry, Cap. Out here, it’s just us and a whole lot of nothing.”

Elena looks out the window, frowning as she sees a flickering shadow pass by the stars.

Dr. Elena Ramirez:
“Did... anyone else see that?”

The others look, but the stars are still. They shrug it off and go about their tasks.

Setting: Later that night in the ship’s main cabin. The crew is winding down, and eerie silence fills the air.

Suddenly, the lights flicker, and the ship's monitor screen crackles, showing a distorted figure for a split second. Everyone freezes.

“Did you all see that?”

They nod, uneasy. The figure disappears, and the monitor returns to normal.

Captain Lewis (shaking his head):
“Must be interference. Jack, can you check the systems?”

Jack:
“On it, Cap.” He heads to the control panel, muttering “Just static. That’s all it is.”

But as he walks, shadows start forming behind him, following his steps. None of the crew notices.

“I’ve been hearing things. Voices. Whispering in the comms... Have either of you heard anything?”

They hear a faint tap...tap...tap coming from outside the hull. The three freeze, staring at each other.

“That’s... not normal. There’s nothing out there that could make that sound.”

They gather around the main window, peering into the blackness. A dark, mist-like shape drifts by, indistinct but almost human-like.

Captain Lewis (whispering):
“What... is that?”

Setting: Inside the ship, night. The shadows grow stronger, flickering in the corners. Jack has disappeared.

Captain Lewis (frantically into the comm):

Static fills the comm, followed by faint whispers of Jack’s voice.

Jack’s Voice (distorted, faint):
“I’m... here. They’re... watching. So many of them...”

Dr. Elena Ramirez (shaken):
“Lewis, we’re not alone. Whatever these things are... they’re in here with us.”

The lights flicker, and shadows start moving towards Elena and Lewis, surrounding them. They back away, desperate.

Captain Lewis:
“There has to be a way out. Let’s check the escape pod!”

They dash toward the escape pod, but the hallway seems to stretch endlessly. Each step they take, the shadows multiply, blocking their path.

Setting: Final transmission room, dimly lit, with Elena and Lewis recording a final log as shadows close in.

Captain Lewis (into the camera):
“This is Captain Lewis of the S.S. Horizon. We’ve encountered... something beyond our understanding. If you find this message... don’t come to the Milky Way’s edge. It’s... a trap.”

Dr. Elena Ramirez (her voice trembling):
“Stay away. The stars... they hold the souls of everyone who’s crossed this path. We’re not the first, and we won’t be the last.”

The camera distorts as shadowed figures appear behind them, whispering, reaching out. Lewis turns around, eyes wide with horror as they vanish.

Earth Operator:
“This is Earth command to S.S. Horizon, come in. Captain Lewis? Dr. Ramirez? Jack?”

Static. Faint whispers come through, sounding like the voices of Lewis, Elena, and Jack.

Transmission (distorted, whispering):
“Stay... away... from the Milky Way.”

The transmission ends with a long, eerie silence.
